Ramon Galindo is a bilingual news reporter and producer, with more than a decade of experience in television journalism. Ramon is currently based in San Diego and works as a reporter and producer at NBC San Diego.
From politics, to criminal justice, to the economy, Ramon strives to tell stories from a unique perspective. His work aims to hold government and powerful institutions accountable, while being a voice for the unheard.
Ramon’s coverage of the Occupy Wall Street movement helped RT earn an International Emmy Nomination. His pursuit of news has taken Ramon to Mexico, across California, and several western states. A clip of his reporting on the drone industry, appears in the documentary, “UNMANNED: America’s Drone Wars.”
Prior to joining RT, Ramon was an award-winning producer for KGTV, the ABC affiliate in San Diego. His work with the investigative unit earned him several awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, and The San Diego Press Club. Ramon’s investigation into gangs in the military earned an Emmy nomination. Ramon was also one of the first employees at KGTV, to be trained as a multimedia journalist.
Ramon is originally from Salinas, California. He is a graduate of San Diego State University, where he majored in journalism, and was a news reporter at KCR College Radio.
